The Beauty of Connection

Hi Hooga Friends,

We can understand that life's journey can often lead us through seasons of pain, sorrow, and hardship. These experiences can leave us feeling lost and uncertain where to seek support. 

Studies have shown that human are designed to thrive in groups, which gives us happiness, strength, and sustenance. Our brain is a remarkable instrument for survival to guide us toward what's essential for our existence such as food, rest, protection, and even relationships. Both science and Scripture prove that we're not meant to be alone. Through out the Bible, God displays the truth that He is with us and designed us to thrive together, supporting one another.

The story of Moses and David shows us lessons from their encounters with pain. Even in the loneliest times where they found themselves in the wilderness, or even isolated, they were not alone. God was with them and met them. Just as He walked alongside David through the valley of the shadow of death and guided Moses through the wilderness, He walks with us through our trials, offering companionship and guidance.

Healing doesn’t have to take place alone, just like Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says, “ Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up.” There is power when walking alongside others - whether through listening ears, a compassion heart or helping hands.
